OUR FIRST LADY

Elder Lanette Early Andrew was born November 5, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to the late Louis James Early and Claudette Bartholemew Early.  She is the second eldest child of five.

 

She is married to Bishop Herbert Keith Andrew, the Senior Pastor/Teacher of the Beacon Light Baptist Church of Houma, LA.  They are the parents of three children:  Dominic Micheal, Danielle Michelle, Devin Emile, the in-laws of Dr. Kristi Adams Andrew and Louis Francis Edmond III, the grandparents of Chamberlain Avery Andrew.

 

Elder Andrew is a 1977 graduate of St. Mary's Academy Senior High School, a 1982 graduate of Grambling State University and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

 

Though born into Catholicism, Elder Andrew began studying the word of God under the leadership of Dr. Fredrick K.C. Price of Los Angeles, CA and in 1986 was baptized at Third Rose of Sharon B.C. of New Orleans under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Jackson.

 

In 1992, the Andrew family was led to join forces with the Greater St. Stephens Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton and Pastor Debra B. Morton.

 

In 1993, they joined forces with Bishop Darryl S. Brister, Dr. Dionne Flot Brister and the Beacon Light B.C. of New Orleans, LA.  There she served as a Youth Sunday School Teacher and the Women's Ministry Evangelism Coordinator.

 

However, it was under the leadership of her husband that she announced her calling to the ministry.  She was licensed as a minister in 2006 and in 2008 ordained as an Elder of the LORD'S church.

 

As the Firstlady of the Beacon Light B.C. of Houma, LA her primary assignment is to assist in bringing to pass the vision of the house in every capacity.

 

Elder Andrew is the director of the Vessels Unto Honor Women's Ministry.

 

Her goal in life is to make sure the people of God, especially our youth, are aware of their identity in Christ through the Word of God.
