Beacon Light BC of Houma LA is certainly a “Great House” and we are the Vessels Unto Honor Women’s Ministry sanctified, meet for the master’s use and prepared for every good work.

We are under the direction of our Apostolic Mother Dr. Dionne F. Brister, the Firstlady of the Beacon Light International Ministries where our Apostolic Father Bishop Darryl S. Brister serves as our Apostle and Overseer.

However, the ministry was birth under leadership of our Senior Pastor and Teacher Bishop Herbert K. Andrew.

Our mission is to minister to the females of all ages within the Tri-Parish area of Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Mary Parishes; to reveal to them what the Father had in mind when HE created us and as New Creations who we are in Christ Jesus.

As a ministry we have formulated Five Jewel Groups whereby we have partnered with local agencies to assist in the healing of our communities.

As Diamonds we address the issue of Domestic Violence.

As Rubies we address the issue of the Mother/Daughter Relationship.

As Amethysts we address the issue of the Mother/Son Relationship.

As Sapphires we address the issues concerning our senior citizens.

As Emeralds we intercede on behalf of our church our community our nation and the world as a whole.

From the birth of these groups women have been inspired to give birth and create their our ministries.

As a ministry we also undergird in house ministries such as the Marriage Ministry equipping the wives to add value to the families.

As a ministry we undergird our youth by partnering with local schools by providing tutorials services, feminine hygiene products, and mentorship upon request.

As a ministry we also undergird and support our Young Adults in their endeavors to lead their generation.

However, our signature event is our Community Babyshower . Born out of concern for the next generation,

the purpose of this event is to begin meeting the needs of our babies before birth to ensure a long healthy and prosperous life.

Through the support of local pediatricians and pre natal agencies this has proven to be the catalyst for others to follow.

Most recently in January 2026 under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, the Vessels Unto Honor Women’s Ministry Bible Study was instituted. It is here that we discover who we really are and what the Father had in mind when HE created us.
