Bishop Herbert K. Andrew was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 13, 1960.  He is married to Mrs. Lanette Andrew, and to this union three children were born: Dominic, Danielle, and Devin.


He accepted his call to ministry at the age of 30.  He preached his 1st message (sermon) in 1993 at Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church.  Bishop Andrew’s Mentor and Pastor,Bishop Darryl S. Brister, licensed him to preach the Gospel in June 1994 and he was ordained as an Elder on November 19,1995. In January 2001, Bishop Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Education from Friends International Christian University. He also received an Associate of Arts Degree from Los Angeles Trade Tech College and attended the University of South Alabama of Mobile, AL. 


As a faithful and active member of the “Family of Light”, he was elevated to the esteemed position of 1st Assistant Pastor to Bishop Darryl S. Brister in 1996.  After serving faithfully and diligently for over seven years, on April 7, 2003, Bishop Andrew was installed as the Senior Pastor/ Teacher of Beacon Light Baptist Church of Houma, Louisiana. 


Under his leadership, Bishop Andrew has released several powerful audio series through Kingdom First Ministries, a God-inspired ministry whose sole purpose is to help God’s people to build their lives from the inside out.


On September 6, 2013 Bishop Andrew was consecrated to the office of Bishop in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship under the leadership of the International Presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton.


Bishop Herbert K. Andrew is a man of God who has a deep love for God’s people and a strong commitment to do what is necessary to help them to build their lives from the inside out.
